The Basics
Huntsville Clinic Inc (HCI) is a Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) facility that specializes in treatment for opiate addiction (and its subsequent withdrawal symptoms) and other substances. With two locations, one in Hunstville, Texas and the other in Conroe, Texas, clients have the option to choose the facility that works best for them. HCI has programs for prescription painkiller addictions, alcohol addiction, tobacco addiction and heroin addiction.
Treatment and Staff
The substance abuse treatment program for those not in need of MAT aims to provide a comprehensive outpatient program as clients continue with their everyday lives at school, work or home. Upon entering the program, clients are evaluated to develop an individualized treatment plan that best fits their needs. The treatment plan determines the client’s program length as well as the frequency and type of counseling. The client’s progress is tracked by a case manager throughout treatment so their plan can be modified if necessary.
The counseling at HCI is all based in CBT methodology and can include individual counseling, group counseling, family counseling and DUI counseling if required. Group sessions cover topics such as chemical dependency education, relapse prevention, aftercare planning and independent living skills. Although every client’s plan is unique, almost all clients are in some form of therapy at least three days a week. Sessions are offered in the mornings and in the evenings on weekdays and throughout the day on weekends. HCI does not offer 12-step programming on-site, however clients are strongly encouraged to start attending AA/NA in addition to their structured treatment. This is not a dual diagnosis facility.
The staff at HCI consists of CADCs, CCDPs and LPCs.
Extras
In addition to the comprehensive substance abuse treatment programs, HCI also offers its treatment services to traveling clients by providing courtesy dosing for $15 per day.
In Summary
While Huntsville Clinic Inc does not specialize in non-opiate related substance abuse treatment, its outpatient program does offer enough structure to help the individual recover while still maintaining a regular schedule. The individualized treatment plans at HCI allows each client to receive the level of evidence-based care they need at a time that does not interfere with their other responsibilities.
