Hope Trust Review
Hope Trust in a substance abuse treatment facility that offers adults and adolescents rehab for complex drug and alcohol dependencies and co-occurring disorders. Treatment takes place in the city of Telangana, in southern India, in a quiet and secure location and a luxury setting. Programming includes CBT and medication management in addition to the 12-steps. In addition to chemical dependency, Hope Trust also treats eating disorders and gambling addiction. Hope Trust has been around for over 14 years and works in collaboration with trusted facilities in the UK and Canada.
Accommodations and Food
The modern, multi-level residential facility can accommodate up to 25 clients in shared bedrooms of two to three clients. Each bedroom has air conditioning and attached bathrooms that have Western appliances and showers. There is satellite TV and Internet access throughout the facility, a game room with ping pong and pool table, vast recreational spaces, a rooftop lounge area and laundry service provided.
Hope Trust provides three meals a day that can be altered according to medical need. These are traditional vegetarian, non veg and Halal. Coffee and tea are readily available and snacks are set out throughout the day.
Treatment and Staff
Detox services are provided through a local psychiatric hospital. Hope Trust collaborates with that facility to offer 24 hour medical care. After the client is stabilized, they’re integrated into the general population and begin a regular routine of programming.
In general the stay at Hope Trust is about 90 days, though is some cases of a dual diagnosis clients may stay for a bit longer. Treatment uses evidence-based approaches and holistic methods. There is a mindfulness training that runs for about three weeks in the program, relapse prevention, psychoeducation, daily AA and NA meetings and therapeutic writing exercises. Additionally clients participate in emotions charting, group therapy feedback session and audio-video screenings of relevant materials from all over the world.
Clients work on opening up and improving their communication skills and family members are encouraged to participate in their loved ones treatment experience. Individual therapy sessions take place at least once a week with the counselor assigned at intake.
Treatment is provided by therapists who have many years of experience including ICADCs, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, health specialists and 12-step facilitators.
Extras
There is an on-site gym that clients are free to use on a daily basis, and a regular instructor for guided yoga.
The Hope Trust family program consists of education and support at the facility in addition to a connection to the Al-Anon community.
