Haven House Outpatient Review
With several facilities throughout Los Angeles, California, Haven House Addiction Treatment provides a range of recovery services including a residential treatment program, sober living facilities and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Clients enrolled in the IOP have scheduling flexibility while still receiving quality substance abuse care.
Treatment and Staff
After an initial assessment, staff works to create an individualized treatment plan for each client that aims to address addiction, co-occurring disorders and/or eating disorders. Medically-managed detox is also available as needed.
Treatment employs evidence based methods like DBT, CBT, Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET) and psycho-dynamic processing. For clients dealing with trauma, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing and the Seeking Safety model are incorporated.
Individual therapy is typically scheduled once a week so that clients can address personal issues one-on-one with professionals. Most tracks also incorporate group therapy and case management services, meeting IOP minimum time commitment requirements. Group topics include codependency, relapse prevention and nutrition and wellness. Holistic methods are also introduced, including art therapy, yoga and meditation. Clients interested in 12-step recovery are given and introduction to the program as well as local meeting referrals.
Staff consists of LCSWs, CADCs, MFTs and additional Master’s-level counselors.
Extras
Haven House has a stand-alone track for eating disorders that is often used as a follow-up program for clients who have completed addiction and general mental health treatment. Aside from outpatient care, Haven House also offers residential and sober living programs that use the same evidence-based modalities and professional staff.
