Located in Rancho Sante Fe in San Diego, California, is Haven Hills Recovery offers a transitional living facility for women who are going through treatment for eating disorders and co-occurring disorders. This luxury facility is available during the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) as a safe and supportive community that offers hands-on guidance in addition to 12-step support, group and individual and nutritional counseling.
Accommodations and Amenities
The beautiful residential facility offers luxurious accommodations that would rival a five star hotel. Clients stay in a two-story brick home in the quiet community of Rancho Santa Fe. The home itself offers privacy and comfort, and the facility keeps the occupants at no more than four or five at a time allowing for plenty of one on one attention from staff. There are private and semi-private bedrooms that are furnished elegantly with queen sized beds, night stands, ample closet space, and in some rooms a separate sitting area with chairs and coffee table.
The large living room offers a wraparound sofa that is situated in front of an entertainment center with a flat screen TV with cable, and there is WiFi throughout the house. There are several full bathrooms, some with multi head rainshower systems and others with jacuzzi tubs. The state of the art kitchen has stainless steel appliances and marble countertops, and the dining room offers a large, family-style table.
The grounds are impeccable with lush greenery and flowers, and hidden by a tall wall that surrounds the home. The backyard has a lagoon style pool and hot tub along with a bonfire pit, picnic tables and chairs and a small basketball court. There are lounge chairs and a fire side dining area, along with shaded sections with benches. Clients are able to have regular exercise if it goes along with their treatment plan, and are offered yoga, hikes and kickboxing.
There are daily therapeutic meals that are included with menus designed by a nutritionist, and prepared by an on-site chef.
Rules and Regulations
Clients who are living in the transitional housing facility attend treatment daily on a step-down basis. The PHP is five days a week and up to 40 hours of treatment that includes several group and individual sessions utilizing evidence-based treatment approaches like CBT, EMDR and the 12 steps. The step down to the IOP starts with five days a week of programming and decreases to three days with three hours per day.
Clients can expect to go out to restaurants and grocery shopping under the supervision of counseling staff. Aftercare planning is also available. Staff includes medical doctors, nurses, LMFTs, LCSWs and LPCs.
