Harmony Women’s Recovery Center Review
Harmony Women’s Recovery Center is a gender-specific drug and alcohol outpatient treatment program for women in San Diego, California. A subsidiary of Mental Health Systems, an expansive behavioral health organization founded in 1978, the facility offers affordable, family-oriented care to court-ordered and self-referred clients.
Treatment and Staff
After an initial assessment, clients begin individualized treatment plans that combine group and individual therapy using evidence-based methods—such as CBT and REBT—with additional support for clients with co-occurring disorders. A wide range of classes are also offered as a part of treatment, covering life skills, healthy parenting, relationships, independent living, self-esteem building, anger management, domestic violence and relapse prevention. Clients are also expected to attend regular 12-step meetings throughout the course of treatment.
Staff consists of LPCs, CADCs and additional Master’s-level counselors.

Other services include behavioral health assessments and evaluations, HIV testing, developmental services for children five and under and a mobile medical unit for emergencies.
