Hader Women’s Rehab is a gender-specific addiction treatment program for women 18 and older in the Melbourne, Australia area. Hader offers specialized residential and outpatient care with a sober living option to women struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Treatment and Staff
The outpatient program at Hader is open exclusively to women who have completed 30 to 90 days of residential treatment at one of the organization’s facilities. The program begins with an assessment to help determine an individualized treatment plan. Hader Women’s Rehab Outpatient is equipped to provide dual diagnosis support.
Outpatient services take place in the main Hader Clinic offices in Melbourne. The program includes group, individual and family sessions (if applicable). Flexible programming is provided to allow clients to choose which hours work best for them to attend. Hader encourages clients to find work or enroll in school at this point in their recovery. The outpatient treatment stage usually lasts from a few weeks to six months, depending on the client. Counselors use a variety of treatment techniques including CBT and relapse prevention. Hader Women’s Rehab Outpatient also integrates the 12 steps into treatment. Clients must attend at least three outside AA/NA meeting per week. Regular urine tests are also required as a measure of compliance.
The staff includes Master’s-level mental health therapists, doctors, nurses, consulting psychiatrists, as well as other support staff. Team members are often ex-clients who have successfully completed the Hader rehab programs and bring their personal knowledge of recovery to their roles.
Extras
A transitional housing program is offered to women who have completed one of the residential treatment programs. Women share a large house in suburban Melbourne. During their stay they must attend the structured outpatient program or receive case management and counseling. All residents are required to attend regular check-ins, peer support meetings and participate in group activities organized by Hader Women’s Rehab. To ensure continual recovery and maintain a safe and sober atmosphere, all residents are subject to random urine drug screens.
