Growth and Recovery Counseling Center of Trinity, Florida, is an outpatient treatment facility that offers a variety of counseling services for adolescents and adults who are struggling with behavioral health issues and eating disorders. Treatment and Staff
During the initial intake meeting with a counselor clients explain what they’re seeking treatment for and are paired with a therapist. Programming is designed for those with depression and anxiety, addiction, grief and loss, mental health disorders like bipolar disorder and for young people who are having problems with their behavior or in school and social settings.
Since treatment is so personalized, there isn’t a set approach that one can expect from treatment. It can include EMDR, DBT, CBT, psychodrama, Emotional Freedom techniques, exposure therapy and expressive therapies. Group sessions cover a variety of topics, like body image, DBT skills group for adolescents and peer led meetings. These groups also address self harm behaviors, emotion regulation, relapse prevention, coping skills and triggers. During treatment clients work closely with their therapists to identify past destructive behaviors and learn new problem solving skills. There is also an emphasis on improving communication and repairing family relationships, managing stress and anger, and addressing any unresolved issues from the past that may have been holding them back.
Joy Davis is an LCSW with 25 years of experience, and the founder of the Growth and Recovery Counseling Center. Other staff include LMFTs, LMHCs, psychologists and interns.

In addition to traditional talk therapy, there are also often written assignments or art projects, or suggested reading and meditations that may be a implemented into client’s programs if they desire it.
There are extensive couples and family counseling services available, telehealth sessions offered, and referrals for outside agencies that can provide medication management.
