GreenLife Intensive Outpatient Program Review
Founded by Dr. Randall Green, who has been in the recovery field since 1983, GreenLife Intensive Outpatient Program is a substance abuse treatment facility in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Its signature offering is an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) that welcomes addicts and alcoholics from all walks of life, including those with co-occurring disorders.
Treatment and Staff
Clients in the six-week IOP attend two hours of group therapy three to five times a week and individual therapy as needed. Periodic family sessions are also scheduled throughout treatment. New clients work with the treatment team to set recovery goals for their time in the program. Clients are also encouraged to attend 12-step groups outside of treatment hours.
Groups explore topics such as co-dependency, working the 12 steps, addiction education, grief and loss and anger management. Those with co-occurring disorders such as depression, anxiety disorders or bipolar disorder be evaluated for appropriate medication.
The team is led by Dr. Green, who is a MFT, Certified Addictions Professional (CAP), clinical psychotherapist and holds three advanced degrees, including a PhD. Green is also a consultant at a number of addiction treatment centers in the Broward and Dade County areas. Additional treatment staff includes LPCs and CADCs.
Extras
Anyone who successfully completes the IOP is eligible to return for a free crisis stabilization period for up to six months after the initial admission date. This includes up to three sessions in a one-week period.
Dr. Green is the author of Stepping Into Joy, an autobiographical account of his recovery and journey through the 12 steps.
