Green Country Behavioral Health Services, Inc (GCBHS) was founded in 1979 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and has since opened a satellite office in the town of Eufaula. Treatment and Staff
The intake process begins with an initial phone screening, followed by a comprehensive assessment by a clinician that includes a bio-psycho-social evaluation. The exact length and intensity of the treatment is based on the counselor assessment. While treatment is not 12-step oriented, clients are encouraged to attend outside AA and NA groups while in the program.
GCBHS is equipped to treat clients with a dual diagnosis and offers individual therapy mental health counselors fas well as a variety of other psychiatric services, such as social, behavioral, cognitive and educational interventions. GCBHS also operates a crisis stabilization service and detox program for those having trouble adjusting to their medications or going through withdrawal symptoms.
Staff consists of LCSWs, LPC sand BHRs. It also has a large medical staff including psychiatrists, nurses and a nurse practitioner.

The organization also offers counseling, case management and rehab services to children of family members between the ages of 16 and 24, as well as a child development program called Head Start. Case management is available for all clients who want to access resources in the community.
