Gibson Recovery Center Outpatient Review
Based out of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Gibson Recovery Center is a CARF-accredited treatment facility founded in 1990. Treatment and Staff
Before beginning a program, clients go through an initial assessment to help staff members develop their treatment plans. On-site medical detox services are available, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). Both outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are offered; though the programs are largely the same, the latter meets at least three times a week for three hours per session.

Groups cover a wide range of topics including decision-making, trauma-informed care, life, healthy relationships and vocational services. Flexible case management is also provided. As mentioned, dual diagnosis support is also available.
The staff at Gibson Recovery Center consists of a contracted psychiatrist and physician, RNs, LACs and additional Master’s-level therapists.

Gibson Recovery Center facilitates family therapy and educational sessions about addiction. Deferred sentencing programs are also available for those sentenced to treatment through drug court. As mentioned, the organization also has a corresponding residential program exclusively for men.
