Fusion Recovery Review
Fusion Recovery is an outpatient treatment facility located in the heart of Silicon Valley in San Jose, California. Fusion Recovery offers evidence-based treatment approaches that are individualized through its Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Treatments can include ambulatory detox, medication management and dual diagnosis focused programming for adult men and women and their families.
Treatment and Staff
The first step in getting help through Fusion Recovery is an assessment that lasts about 90 minutes. This helps the staff figure out what the best course of action would be for treatment and set individual program goals. There are a variety of therapeutic approaches ranging from traditional to holistic, and treatment tracks are individualized to each client’s specific needs.
The IOP typically lasts around 12 weeks and consists of three hours, three evenings per week of group and individual therapy, complimented by mindfulness training and, if necessary, detox. The facility is open seven days a week in order to offer flexible times for their clientele. Therapy implements CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), relapse prevention and coping skills training. Holistic methods can include acupuncture, massage and therapeutic yoga. Clients can also expect to receive occasional and random drug testing. Fusion is not 12-step based, though it does offer resources to outside AA or NA groups as another source of support.
For those who enter into treatment with a co-occurring disorder, there are medication services through PharmaCo Genetic Testing, which provides the necessary information to determine what types of medications would be the most helpful based on the client’s DNA.
The staff of Fusion Recovery includes physicians, psychologists, Master’s-level CADCs, LMFTs, recovery yoga specialists and an acupuncturist.

There are family and couples counseling options offered, and a step-down aftercare alumni group. Aftercare planning takes place during the initial stages of treatment.
