Footprints to Recovery Pennsylvania Review
With facilities throughout the United States, Footprints to Recovery is a broad behavioral health organization that offers a range of flexible treatment services to clients struggling with substance abuse, addiction and co-occurring disorders. More specifically, its facility in the Philadelphia suburb of Wayne, Pennsylvania provides outpatient, Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) as well.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning treatment, all clients go through an initial intake and assessment process and pre-screening to help the staff place them in appropriate programs. While on-site detox services are not available, those in need can be placed in nearby programs as necessary. Though all the programs use similar care methods, outpatient is the most flexible, meeting three hours a day once or twice a week. IOP is more intensive, meeting three hours a day, three to five days a week and PHP is the most intensive, meeting six hours a day, five days a week.
Across all these programs, treatment consists of both individual and group therapy with evidence-based practices including CBT, DBT and Motivational Interviewing (MI). The curriculum also includes 12-step teachings as well as dual diagnosis support and medication management whenever necessary. Groups cover many different topics including spiritual guidance, nutritional counseling, family therapy and relapse prevention. Those who don’t want to participate in 12-step oriented care can also work in alternative programs as well.
The staff at Footprints to Recovery in Pennsylvania includes doctors, RNs, CADCs, LCSWs, LPCs and additional Master’s-level counselors.
Extras
Holistic groups are also included such as art therapy, music therapy and movement therapy.
Footprints to Recovery also provides a special LGBTQ treatment program that covers issues of sexuality and gender in tandem with counseling for addiction and behavioral health concerns. A special trauma-focused program is available as well, including EMDR and Seeking Safety groups.
Those who complete a primary care plan can work with staff members to develop step-down aftercare plans as necessary.
In Summary
Overall, Footprints to Recovery in Pennsylvania offers a wide range of outpatient services for clients struggling with substance abuse and related issues. Treatment plans include evidence-based therapy and dual diagnosis support, including special options for those dealing with trauma and LGBTQ-specific concerns. Though the cost of treatment may vary by insurance and program specifics, the outpatient programs at Footprints to Recovery in Pennsylvania are a strong resource worth considering for anyone in the area.
