Family Connections Review
Located in Orange, New Jersey, Family Connections is a community-oriented non-profit that provides a wide range of outpatient services to adults, adolescents and children. The organization has a history dating back to 1879 as a result of a merger between the older Registry Society and the Family and Children’s Service Agency established in 1959. Treatment plans are available for those struggling with addiction, co-occurring disorders and other behavioral issues. Both court-ordered and self-referred clients are welcome to attend.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning treatment, all clients go through an initial intake and assessment to help staff members develop their individualized treatment plans. The staff at Family Connections consists of LCSWs, CADCs, LPCs, LMFTs, case managers and additional Master’s-level clinicians.

Aside from the above, the facility also provides family therapy and standalone counseling for mental health issues. Additional services include school-based programs, domestic violence counseling, youth outreach, case management, family reunification and bilingual support. Those in need of aftercare can also step down the intensity of their care and continue with therapy.
