Fairmont Park Recovery Review

Fairmont Park Recovery was established in 2015. It offers safe, affordable transitional living for men and women in San Diego. Twelve-step based, it provides comfortable and attractive amenities while also connecting clients with treatment support and recovery coaching. It’s a close knit, sober community for people in the early stages of recovery.

Accommodations and Amenities

Clients of Fairmont Park Recovery reside in three family homes on a campus known as “The Ranch.” The homes sit on over one and a half acres of land. The campus has fruit trees, chickens, vegetable gardens and panoramic mountain views. The residences can accommodate between six and eight clients per house. Clients have access to a full size pool, cable and Wifi, parking, AC and laundry facilities. The homes are co-ed, however, clients of the same gender always share the semi-private bedrooms.

Residents enjoy regular “family dinners” together. The meals consist of fresh vegetables and fruits from the community gardens and trees.

Rules and Regulations

On average, most people stay at Fairmont Park Recovery six months to a year. Fairmount Park Recovery has daily morning meetings in the house. They serve as a check in with the house manager and a time where clients can air any grievances or chat about events or occurrences. There is a weekly 12-step meeting held on site at the outdoor bonfire area. It’s hosted for the entire recovery community on campus. Additionally, the house managers provide weekly drug screenings and offer one on one recovery support.

Fairmont Park Recovery operates using a family based model. It holds everyone on campus accountable and requires frequent check ins and open communication. As an added layer of support, the staff members are willing and able to connect their clients to outpatient treatment programs within the community.

Another facet of the community is the emphasis on self care and self actualization. There are designated meditation areas throughout the campus. Clients are privy to financial planning classes and workshops. They also receive assistance with job placement and continuing education opportunities.

Michael Morrison owns and operates Fairmont Park Recovery. A recovering addict himself, Morrison has dedicated his life to providing a safe place for addicts to live while navigating their way through the early stages of sobriety.

Extras

This program has family based recovery events on campus quite frequently.
