Exult Healthcare of Mckinney, Texas, a small town about 37 miles north of Dallas, offers Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for adults. Treatment utilizes evidence-based practices and specializes in co-occurring disorders. Programming also includes elements of the 12 steps and SMART Recovery, along with general group therapy and relapse prevention training.
Treatment and Staff
The programs through Exult Healthcare begin with a comprehensive assessment that includes medical history and psychosocial events and situations. The client is then teamed with a therapist and placed into a group therapy schedule. Depending on the treatment track the client is placed in, the program can last anywhere from eight to 16 weeks. The IOP schedule is flexible in order to accommodate clients’ personal schedules, and takes place Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in both the morning and evening. Typically the sessions are in a group setting for about three hours. Though the program is mainly group therapy based, every client meets with their assigned therapist for individual sessions weekly.
Exult Healthcare offers medication management in addition to counseling services. There is also an alternative treatment for depression provided at this facility: Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), used in conjunction with the IOP support. Therapeutic approaches include CBT, DBT, Stages of Change, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and trauma-informed care. Additionally, this facility offers holistic treatment like yoga and Ayurveda, nutritional and wellness counseling, and programs designed for clients with eating disorders. Groups focus on cravings and triggers, psychoeducation, anger management and relaxation techniques.
Though Exult doesn’t provide detox service, the facility is able to determine and refer clients who are in need of detox to the appropriate treatment center and once they are medically stable, they can continue with their treatment.
The staff of Exult Healthcare consists of Master’s-level therapists and medical professionals, such as LPCs, psychiatrists, RPNs and CADCs.

There are a variety of counseling services in addition to the IOP, like family and couples counseling, offered in either a group or individual setting.
