Evolutions Treatment Center was founded in 2013 to provide client-centered, affordable residential treatment and outpatient services in a luxury atmosphere. Located in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Evolutions creates individualized, holistic treatment plans using evidence-based and experiential therapies. Clients reside in a newly-renovated apartment complex, ensuring privacy and easy access to South Florida’s full complement of recreational activities.
Evolutions’ CEO, Dr. Jeffrey Huttman, PhD, is a psychologist specializing in the treatment of co-occurring disorders and trauma. The center’s Medical Director, Jacqueline Boutrouille, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist with additional certifications in addiction and opiate detox.
Treatment and Staff
Clients enrolled in the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) are typically those who have completed the residential track. They continue to live on the premises and participate in both group and individual therapy, psychoeducation classes and peer support meetings. Therapy uses CBT, DBT and Motivational Interviewing (MI) in addition to holistic and experiential therapies such as canine therapy, mindfulness training, art therapy, massage and acupuncture. Process and education group topics include anger management, existential therapy, HIV education, interpersonal skills and relapse prevention.
The treatment team at Evolutions is exceptionally well-credentialed and includes physicians, LPNs, LMFTs, LCSWs, CAPs and an acupuncture physician. Evolutions also employs two psychiatrists to ensure that dual diagnosis support is available to clients each day. Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is available using Naltrexone and Vivitrol.
In the evenings, clients participate in on-site 12-step meetings five days a week and are transported to off-site meetings the other two. If clients prefer another format of peer support meetings, the treatment team helps them locate SMART Recovery, Celebrate Recovery or another format.
While many IOP clients have stepped down from the residential track, local clients may choose to attend the IOP track while living at home.
Extras
Recently, Evolutions added a sober living program for patients to admit to directly. They are able to live in the facility’s luxury residence and utilize the amenities but are required to be enrolled in the IOP program at the same time. Pricing ranges for IOP based on insurance coverage, and there are set flat rates per week for housing.
Clients with local family members are encouraged to invite them to the facility for family therapy. The treatment team will also provide families with weekly progress calls if the clients gives their permission.
On Saturdays, clients can participate in optional recreation trips such as deep sea fishing and golf. Each Sunday, they can participate in an optional beach excursion.
The treatment team does extensive aftercare planning with each client, which may include an additional outpatient program, individual therapy and peer support meetings. The treatment team regularly calls alumni to check in and see how they’re faring.
