Treatment and Staff
Clients begin treatment at EEGym with a short phone consultation followed by a one-on-one assessment with Dr. Brod. This helps him create a diagnosis and design a treatment plan. EEGym offers a range of treatment options including innovative techniques like biofeedback, neurofeedback, hypnosis as well as EMDR to treat past trauma as a causal component of current conditions. Many of these methods essentially train the brain to treat iself, and can be used to treat a wide array of conditions including panic, PTSD, ADD and ADHD, various head injuries and migraines. In addition, these models can also be effective in alleviating hypertension, tinnitus, general pain as well as clients looking to stop smoking. Dr. Brod also offers traditional psychoanalytic therapy and emotional focused therapy for individuals, couples and families. All sessions last at least 45 minutes, and arrangements for longer time slots can be accommodated.
The EEGym team is comprised of Dr. Thomas Brod, MD, board certified in psychiatry and neurology, along with specialized biofeedback trainers and therapists. Medication management is available for those individuals in need of dual diagnosis support.

The facility has recently began to incorporate a new quantitative EEG technique called QEEG. This state of the art technology provides a map of the brain’s electrical patterns and shows specifically where an injury has occurred. In addition, the facility provides a pre-pay option where clients are able to purchase 10 sessions at 50% off. Also, yoga biofeedback workshops are offered.
