Dual diagnosis support including medication management is also available. While clients are not strictly required to attend 12-step, the facility does host regular on-site meetings.
The staff at Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital is comprised of psychiatrists, psychologists, RNs, MDs, LCSWs, LPCs, nutritionists and further Master’s and PhD-level counselors.

The hospital also facilitates HIV/AIDS education, trauma-informed group sessions and grief counseling. A full continuum of medical care services are offered, as is outpatient therapy as a form of step-down treatment for those who complete an inpatient program.
