While each location may offer slightly different services, both Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and more flexible outpatient plans are available.
In general, all plans include both group and individual therapy with evidence-based treatment practices including CBT and DBT. Groups cover a wide range of topics such as anger management, trigger identification, relapse prevention, 12-step recovery, dual diagnosis issues, relationship skills, codependency and spirituality. Each of these programs also includes mandatory drug testing and monitoring throughout to ensure that all clients are staying clean and sober. In addition to the psychotherapeutic approaches, programs may also include holistic treatment methods such as mindfulness training, art therapy and recreational therapy.
The staff at Edgewood Health is wide-ranging, though it includes doctors, LPNs, LADCs, psychologists, case managers, art therapists and additional Master’s-level clinicians.

To support many of its Canadian clientele, French-speaking services are also available at certain locations. As a supplement to its more structured programs, the organization also hosts rotating wellness programs and workshops throughout the year as well. Other special offerings, which may vary by location, include relaxation therapy, couples and family therapy, recovery coaching and standalone individual therapy. Treatment for other behavioral issues such as sex addiction, gambling, eating disorders and trauma are all available as well.
As mentioned, those in need of more intensive care can also attend inpatient care at Edgewood’s Bellwood, Edgewood and Waterstone campuses as well. Finally, those who finish a primary care program can work with staff members to develop stepped down aftercare regimens and discharge plans.
