ED-180 Review
Based in of Garden City, New York, ED-180 is a behavioral health organization which offers a range of outpatient treatment services to clients struggling with eating disorder and related mental health issues. The facility provides both psychological and medical oversight, all with individualized treatment programs to suit a variety of needs.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning a program, all clients go through an initial intake and assessment process to help staff members determine their needs. Though the specifics of each program may vary, treatment features both individual and group therapy rooted in evidence-based treatment practices including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

While 12-step participation is not a required part of the program, those in need can get referrals to nearby peer support groups as necessary. The staff at ED-180 consists of psychiatrists, LMSWs, CASACs, LCSWs, LMHCs, LMFTs, RNs, dietitians, MDs and additional Master’s and PhD-level clinicians.
Extras
Other medical services offered include metabolic testing, biofeedback and neurofeedback. Additional holistic groups are available including drama therapy, music therapy, yoga, meditation and creative arts. Though the above programs can be scheduled as Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), they can also be stepped down to serve as aftercare as well.

Overall, ED-180 is a well-rounded organization which provides comprehensive treatment for eating disorders from a wide range of different perspectives. Treatment includes evidence-based therapy, medical testing, nutritional counseling and a variety of holistic supplements as well. Because each program is so individualized the cost of treatment is likely to vary considerably. Still, ED-180 remains a strong resource for clients in the area.
