Serving the citizens in Berkeley, Jefferson and Morgan Counties of West Virginia, EastRidge Health Systems provides programs for those who struggle with mental illness, substance abuse and developmental disabilities. With three outpatient clinics and a Suboxone maintenance program, EastRidge Health Systems offers several levels of substance abuse treatment for adults and the option of transitional housing.

Accommodations and Amenities

EastRidge has two co-ed transitional living houses, both with intimate, home-like atmospheres. One property can accommodate six people and the other up to 10. Most clients share gender-specific rooms, though individual bedrooms are available. All the beds are twin-sized. Two common areas in each home allow EastRidge clients to hang out together, watching TV or playing video games during their free time. Meals are prepared and eaten together three times a day. Transportation is provided daily to outpatient treatment.

Treatment and Staff

Outpatient mental health and substance abuse services, for adults are offered at the individual and group level. Family therapy is provided, as well as medication management if needed. Clients begin treatment at EastRidge with a 90 minute evaluation. Following that, they are given an individualized therapy schedule.

Suboxone is offered for those requiring medication-assisted treatment for opiate withdrawal. The program starts with a phone interview, describing the client’s drug use and history. Individuals will be asked to go to their primary physician for lab work and have the results be sent to EastRidge. They have a clinical evaluation at EastRidge, where they meet with a medical professional who will prescribe Suboxone. Nurses and doctors monitor clients on daily basis, Mondays through Fridays. These clients are also required to attend the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for approximately fifteen weeks.

All therapists at EastRidge are licensed, accredited and Master’s-level professionals; staff includes psychiatrists as well as psychologists and group facilitators who are CADCs and LCSWs.

Extras

EastRidge offers free care for those who qualify under West Virginia’s charity care requirements.

The crisis telephone hotline (855-807-1258) is open 24 hours, seven days a week.

In Summary

EastRidge Health Systems offers comprehensive outpatient services for men and women in  several locations. Because they also offer more intense medical care if needed, EastRidge is a good pick for clients who are torn between inpatient and outpatient treatment. EastRidge is practiced in matching clients with the appropriate level of care.
