Treatment and Staff

In addition to evidence-based therapies, 12-step meetings and holistic methods, PHP also integrates extensive case management support, aftercare, psychoeducation and medication management. In addition, this level of treatment includes five group and individual sessions a week.
Discovery Point’s IOP focuses on group and individual therapy. Clients are testing for substances at least once a week, work regularly with a case manager for financial concerns and to take advantage of government assistance. The facility’s client-centered approach to care treats the “whole person” including the root causes of the client’s addiction. To this end, Discovery Point also provides life training skills that help them succeed long after their discharge. In addition, therapists use evidence-based therapeutic methods like CBT to change mental habits and encourage mindfulness as well as Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients to explore and resolve ambivalence.
