Dimensions Recovery Review
Dimensions Recovery Centers is a substance abuse treatment network with four residential facilities in southern California. Each location offers slightly different services, including co-ed and gender-specific detox, inpatient and outpatient care. Accommodations and Food
All four Dimensions Recovery Centers have space for a combined total of about 30 clients. The houses feature large bedrooms and fine furnishings. The Palm Springs home has a large, beautifully landscaped yard with a pool. The Culver City property is just a few blocks from the beach. The houses are outfitted with new furnishings and several flat screen TVs with cable and HBO. Other amenities include Wi-Fi and free on-site laundry. Clients enjoy meals prepared by an expert chef. A variety of coffee, tea, soft drinks and healthy snacks are always available.
Treatment and Staff
Clients at Dimensions receive completely individualized treatment plans based on their situation and recovery goals. Those who require detox can complete that process on-site under medical supervision. A stay at Dimensions ranges from 30 to 90 days, and the organization accepts most insurance.
The treatment philosophy is built around the 12 steps but clients work with their primary therapist to design a treatment plan that works best for them. Individual and group therapy employ CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and relapse prevention training. Dual diagnoses are treated concurrently with addiction, and all clients receive at least three hours of one-on-one therapy per week.
When clients complete primary care, Dimensions Recovery Centers offer a variety of outpatient options. The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) requires attendance for at least five days a week for a minimum of six treatment hours each day. The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) entails around nine hours of therapy per week. The basic outpatient option is flexible, with a personalized plan for each client, usually about one group session per week and individual therapy as needed. Sober companion and sober living referrals are also available.
The staff at all Dimensions facilities includes Master’s-level therapists, CADCs, rehab techs and consulting holistic practitioners as well as medical professionals that supervise the detox process.
Extras
There are several alternative therapies, such as hypnotherapy and acupuncture, available. Residents are given the option to go off-site several times a week to the gym, yoga and hiking.
