Detox of Delray Review
Detox of Delray is a new addition to the recovery community of Palm Beach County, Florida. Located near the Delaire Country Club, Detox of Delray helps clients stabilize through detox and then locate residential or outpatient treatment, depending on their medical needs and location. Detox of Delray opened its doors in 2017; however, its owners have nearly 30 years of experience in addiction treatment in southern Florida.
Accommodations and Food
The newly-built facility is located in a suburban section of Delray, near shops and public transportation. It features a hip, modern décor with a kitchen and dining area, comfortable meeting rooms and colorful bedrooms. For recreation, the facility has Playstations and flat screen TVs. Most client have roommates, though single rooms may be available, and men and women are housed in separate sections of the facility.
Meals are catered, taking into account clients’ preferences and dietary restrictions. The full kitchen always has additional snacks, including yogurt, fruit and coffee.
Treatment and Staff
Clients stay an average of seven days, but the length can vary depending on the substances they’re detoxing from and their progress. Clients are under the supervision of a physician and 24/7 nursing and behavioral technician staff. Once clients are well enough, they attend group therapy at least once a day. Groups are led by Master’s-level therapists and addiction counselors, including MFTs and CAPs. Groups help clients learn CBT skills and address early recovery issues and relapse prevention. Detox of Delray also brings in facilitated 12-step meetings each day for those who wish to participate.
As clients near the end of their stay, they have a bio-psycho-social assessment with Detox of Delray’s consulting psychiatrist, which is used to make recommendations for their next phase of treatment.
Extras
Family members are encouraged to call the facility for updates on their loved one. Detox of Delray makes recommendations of continuing treatment options, such as residential or outpatient programs, to each client as they determine the next course of action in their recovery.
