Treatment and Staff
Delta Behavioral Health offers a variety of treatment options for adults suffering from substance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues. Following an initial evaluation, individualized treatment plans can be developed. For those in need of detox or residential care, referrals can be made.
PHP meets five times a week for four hours at a time. Treatment involves a mixture of individual and group therapy. Using methods like CBT, DBT and Motivational Interviewing (MI), clients can retrain their negative thought patterns. Group topics can include relapse prevention, coping skills, early recovery skills and an introduction to 12-step principles. Meeting attendance outside of the program is encouraged but not required. IOP meets three times a week for three hours at a time, with a structure similar to PHP. The length spent in these programs vary by individual.
Weekly group and individual therapy sessions are offered as their own form of treatment. Group topics include emotional regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness. Individual sessions are each an hour long, offering privacy and one-on-one attention. With the help of their therapist, clients can address the underlying causes beneath their issues. Counselors can also go over the 12 steps with clients whenever applicable as well. Medication management services are available through an on-staff psychiatrist.
The staff at Delta Behavioral Health consists of psychiatrists, Master’s level therapists and LCSWs. IOP maxes out at nine clients while PHP maxes out at 15.

Aside from the above services, Delta Behavioral Health also offers a transgender support group on a monthly basis to discuss sensitive issues.
