De Novo Review
De Novo is an outpatient rehab facility in Salt Lake City, Utah, that offers individualized addiction treatment for adults. In addition to the counseling services De Novo also offers medication to ease withdrawal symptoms from opiates and alcohol. Medication options include Suboxone, Methadone and Naltrexone. For those who come to the facility with co-occurring disorders, there are specialized counseling and medication management services as well. Initially, clients who are just beginning with MAT come to the facility on a daily basis to receive their doses. As they progress through their programs and reduce the need for the medication, they are given the option to receive a take-home dose. This step requires frequent check-ins with the counseling and medical staff and regular drug testing.
De Novo’s staff have been at this facility for many years, providing a steady and reliable environment for all their clients. This includes a psychiatrist with over 40 years experience, LPNs, and LPCs. There are also bilingual counselors on staff that can provide treatment in Spanish.

Regardless of the treatment track that the clients are placed into, there is a focus on improving overall health, communication, learning coping skills and identifying triggers. Case management services can include job skills training and placement and housing referrals.
There are classes offered at this facility for individuals who need to satisfy a state mandated requirement to have their driving privileges reinstated after getting a DUI. There are also aftercare planning services that the clients and therapists work towards from day one in treatment.
