The Basics
Located in the suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dave Eichhorn is a clinical interventionist with Clarity Family Consulting. Clarity Family Consulting is based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana but also has offices in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Austin, Texas and Charlotte, North Carolina. Eichhorn attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and has LADC, CSAC and International-CADC credentials.
The Background
Eichhorn started his career in the recovery field in 1991 working with at-risk youth. In 2002, he began performing interventions and has since helped over 2,000 individuals find recovery. With 27 years of personal recovery, Eichhorn lends his own experience and strength to guide those in crisis into an appropriate treatment program.
Previously, Eichhorn served as program director at Hazelden’s City Center residential facility and as an interventionist with Lovefirst and Marc Hertz Consulting.
The Approach
Eichhorn focuses on the family dynamic in preparing and executing the intervention. His approach treats each family and their unique needs with education on the different ways addiction affects their lives and helps to “promote change so that they don’t have to live in the problem.” Eichhorn employs his training in Family Systems therapy.
Eichhorn’s case-management services begin with help identifying the best detox and treatment program for the client to attend. With an individualized approach, clients and their families can rely on daily and/or weekly check-ins, referrals to community 12-step meetings and local clinicians as well as drug testing as-needed. Clients are often admitted into an appropriate treatment program within hours of an initial intervention.
Eichhorn is based in the suburbs of Minneapolis, but he travels both nationally and internationally to conduct interventions.
Post-Intervention and Summary
Dave Eichhorn has been conducting effective interventions for over 15 years. His case management services can last between 30 days and one year, with aftercare planning to help build a foundation for lasting sobriety. Referrals for transitional and sober living facilities are also available for those wishing to live in a sober environment while returning to independent living.
With national and international counseling credentials and previous positions helping at-risk youth and residential clients, Eichhorn can connect with clients of diverse backgrounds and at various stages of the recovery spectrum.
