Dauphin Way Lodge Review
Dauphin Way Lodge is a rehab located in Mobile, Alabama where clients can choose between a residential and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). The IOP is for men and women while the inpatient program is for men only. Both are offered at the same facility. Dauphin Way Lodge is a subsidiary of the Salvation Army, which operates a variety of treatment facilities throughout the United States. In both programs, clients get treatment from Master’s-level counselors.
Accommodations and Food
Accommodations are available for 20 men in dorm-style bedrooms, all in shared rooms. The facility has fairly basic amenities but still offers the comforts of home. Residents are provided with linens and towels but must bring their own pillows. There is a washer and dryer available on-site. Clients are required to maintain a tidy space and be courteous to their peers. Along with comfortable housing, residents are provided with three hot meals a day.
Treatment and Staff
The residential program is available to men looking to recover from acute substance abuse. Men who attend the inpatient track have the option of attending either a 30-day or a six-month program. Rather than relying heavily on the 12 steps, the facility focuses on evidence-based modalities such as CBT and DBT.
The IOP is offered to men and women who want to attend treatment while living at home. There are sessions during the daytime and evening. Frequency is determined on a case-by-case basis. For example, clients may receive a minimum of four hours of counseling a month or up to 28 hours per week.

Special language services are available for American Sign Language or hearing-impaired clients.
