Dale Hollow Mental Health Review
Dale Hollow Mental Health is a non-profit facility located in Livingston, Tennessee which provides services for behavioral issues, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders for adults through outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP). Dale Hollow Mental Health is part of the Volunteer Behavioral Health System dedicated to providing comprehensive and affordable care.
Treatment and Staff
Outpatient and IOP offered through Dale Hollow is available for adults with substance abuse concerns or those with co-occurring disorders. An initial assessment with an intake counselor determines which program would be the better choice for incoming clients. Those with a dual diagnosis usually participate in IOP which meets for a minimum of nine hours a week, usually in three hour blocks on three evenings during the week.
The majority of the program is based in group therapy, though it’s common for clients to also receive individual therapy up to four times in a month. Outpatient treatment, which can be a step down option for those coming out of IOP, can consist of either individual or group therapy sessions once a week.
All treatment is evidence based and includes elements of CBT, DBT, relapse prevention, coping skills, identifying triggers and problem solving techniques. Medication management services are also available. The staff at Dale Hollow consists of caseworkers, LCSWs, CADCs and peer counselors.
Extras
A family program is available for weekly sessions. Aftercare programs are also designed at the beginning of treatment which may involve individual and group therapy. There’s also a tele-health option through a program called My Recovery, which is an online ongoing support group. Peer support is also available at the facility where former clients of the program offer guidance to those still taking part in treatment. Specialty veteran services and DWI programs are available as well.

In all, the Dale Hollow Mental Health facility commits to each of their clients by providing them with many treatment options. With a range of evidence based therapy options mixed with more modern techniques like tele-health sessions, clients can find recovery at their own pace. This facility is a strong resource for those in the area.
