Cypress Lakes Lodge Outpatient Review
Located in the east Texas town of Woodville, Cypress Lakes Lodge is a secluded retreat that provides treatment to adult men struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. In addition to its residential treatment plans, clients can also attend Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP).
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning treatment, all clients go through an initial assessment to help staff members develop individualized treatment plans. For those in need of high-level care, the PHP offers clients seven hours of treatment four days a week. The IOP consists of a minimum three days a week of therapy, meeting for three hours at a time.
While each plan may vary somewhat, each includes individual and group therapy rooted in evidence-based practices, such as CBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). The program also includes 12-step participation and dual diagnosis support with medication management as necessary. Group topics include grief and loss counseling and relapse prevention techniques.
The staff at Cypress Lakes Lodge consists of CADCs, case managers, physicians, nurses and additional Master’s-level clinicians.
Extras
Art therapy is implemented into group therapy. Due to the isolated location of Cypress Lakes, clients who have completed residential treatment and wish to stay on in outpatient care are provided with referrals to several local sober living homes upon request.
The facility offers a residential treatment track that can last anywhere from 30 to 90 days. Clients who complete any of the above primary care programs can also attend an informal aftercare track consisting of alumni meetings and long-term recovery planning sessions.
