Ingram TexasCrossroads Review

Crossroads is a 15-bed sober living home exclusively for men located in Ingram, Texas, on the banks of the beautiful Guadalupe River. Founded by Cody Leicht, who is himself a recovering addict, Crossroads incorporates 12-step methodology, sponsorship and compulsory employment into their program, all to help clients create a foundation for success in sobriety.

Accommodations and Amenities

Crossroads is a large house which can accommodate up to 23 men. There are double and triple occupancy rooms available as well as private rooms, though these come at a higher price. There is a large TV in the living room, a fully equipped kitchen and free WiFi throughout the house. Although transportation is not provided, clients are often able to carpool with their fellow residents.

Rules and Regulations

Clients are required to follow certain regulations during their stay at Crossroads. Daily on-site 12-step, house and weekly accountability meetings are all mandatory, as is having a sponsor throughout the program. There are also curfews to follow, meetings with special guest speakers to attend and house chores to complete twice weekly. Residents must also be employed within two weeks of moving in unless they are in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).

Extras

Recovery coaching and referrals are available to those who need them, as are educational opportunities and employment help. Crossroads also promotes the idea that recovery can be fun, and wants their clients to have a well-rounded healthy lifestyle upon leaving the program. To that end, Crossroads takes residents on fishing outings to the Guadalupe River, as well as on hiking and camping trips in the famous Texas wilderness.

In Summary

For men transitioning from inpatientoutpatient or IOP treatment looking for a no-nonsense sober living environment with structure and a focus on healthy living, Crossroads is the place. The small, comfortable and affordable house has a strong peer support system with residents embraced in a tight-knit recovery community. Crossroads gives men in early sobriety all the tools they need to live healthy, independent lives.
