Creative Counseling Services Inc Review
Creative Counseling Services, Inc. (CCS) was founded in 2008 to provide the residents of Story County with mental health and substance abuse treatment services. Located in Ames, Iowa, the facility is in a small town, but clients still have access to the resources of Des Moines, which is only 30 miles away. The substance abuse treatment program at CCS is licensed by the Iowa Department of Public Health to provide assessments and outpatient services to its clients.
Treatment and Staff
The outpatient curriculum offered by CCS is intended for those clients seeking a highly individualized treatment program. Clients are initially assessed and evaluated to develop a plan tailored specifically to them. This individualized treatment plan dictates the level of care the client requires, the types of therapies and treatments that best suit their needs and the frequency of sessions per week. This plan is subject to change throughout the course of the program, as is the length of the program itself, depending on the progress of the client.
All plans include: CBT based individual therapy, group therapy and addiction education. Individual sessions are scheduled between client and counselor, while group sessions are held throughout the week. The staff at CCS also works closely with local probation offices and drug courts for those clients who require legal assistance and other services. CCS also offers a strong referral system for those clients seeking further care, such as consultations with a dual diagnosis facility, inpatient treatment or local 12-step programs to aid them during their path to recovery.
The staff at Creative Counseling Services consists of LMHCs, LMFTs, IADCs, CADCs, and NCCs.

CCS also offers a variety of other services to the community including counseling services for depression, anxiety, PTSD, loss, marital issues, ADHD and adjustment issues, in addition to mental health evaluations.
