Based out of Escazú in Costa Rica, Costa Rica Executive Rehab is an expansive behavioral health clinic that provides residential treatment men and women struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Accommodations and Food
Costa Rica Executive Rehab is a beautiful manor-style home with 13 private guest rooms in total. All the buildings have incredible views of three local volcanoes, surrounding mountains and the ocean. The rooms are split between two villas on the grounds, the Serenity Villa and the Blair House Villa. Each has its own bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen. Each bedroom comes with queen and king-sized beds with double pillow-top mattresses, bespoke furniture in each room, cable TV, spacious bathrooms and balconies.
The rest of the facility also has plenty of outdoor walking paths and lounge areas, spas, yoga and meditation rooms, a fully-equipped gym, a pool and jacuzzi and a movie theater. The land also includes its own restaurant where clients can eat three meals a day with individualized meal plans and menus available.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning a program, all clients go through an initial intake and assessment process to help the staff determine their needs. Those in need of medical detox can do so on-site before continuing on to treatment. While each of the treatment programs includes more standard clinical approaches of individual and group therapy with evidence-based treatment practices, the program truly shines in its medical and neurological approaches.
Many of the services are offered are cutting-edge and are aimed at treating addiction as a brain dysfunction. These options include neuro-stimulation through a device attaching to the earlobe which treats most withdrawal symptoms. This approach is non-addictive and non-narcotic. Other services include neurofeedback, biofeedback, transcranial electric stimulation, brain mapping, electromagnetic stimulation, EEG guided light therapy and LORETA brain imaging as well. Other unusual approaches in the detox phase can include stem cell rejuvenation for the liver and IV nutrient therapy as well. Dual diagnosis support is available as well. While 12-step participation is not required, clients can attend meetings as they wish.
The staff at Costa Rica Executive Rehab consists of MDs, psychiatrists, psychologists, life coaches, LMHCs, medical technicians and additional Master’s- and PhD-level counselors.
Extras
Clients can also have their family, pets and friends attend rehab with them, to serve as a support system or to participate in therapy. The facility has its own private luxury helicopter too. Other amenities include a fresh juice and smoothie bar in the house. For recreational purposes, clients can also attend salt spa therapy to relax, work with personal trainers and receive massage therapy. The staff can also recommend off-site excursions such as horseback riding, deep sea fishing, helicopter tours, volcano hikes and more.

In lieu of using Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) or other pharmaceutical approaches, the organization favors scientific and neurological care approaches paired with holistic methods.
