Continuum Recovery of Colorado Review
Located in Denver, Colorado, Continuum Recovery of Colorado is an outpatient treatment facility for addiction and co-occurring disorders. Joint Commission-accredited, Continuum Recovery promotes a holistic bio-psycho-social philosophy to care that seeks to heal the underlying root causes of conditions, in addition to treating symptoms. As such, the facility offers a client-centered approach with personally tailored programming. It’s worth mentioning, the 12-step recovery model is an integral component of the curriculum.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning treatment, clients undergo a comprehensive assessment that includes personal circumstances, a complete account of substance use as well as physical and psychological exams. Based off these results, an individualized care strategy is designed to address the unique needs and goals of the person. When necessary, clients immediately begin the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program. Continuum Recovery incorporates medications such as naltrexone and buprenorphine into the curriculum.
Continuum offers both a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). They’re ideal for clients transitioning out of residential treatment, or individuals that require a therapeutic structure but cannot make the commitment required for inpatient. Clients in PHP participate in therapy five days a week while either staying at home or in a sober living facility. The more flexible IOP offers therapy three days a week. This enables clients to engage in regular therapy without having to take time away from work or school. There is no set treatment length. It completely depends on the individual client’s needs.
The facility seeks to empower as well as heal. To this end, Continuum employs a multifaceted treatment model that integrates a number of therapeutic methods including evidence-based models, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, skills training, holistic practices and experiential therapy. Clients engage in individual and group sessions rooted in CBT, DBT and EMDR to help heal symptoms of trauma. Psychoeducation classes focus on addiction, relapse prevention techniques, stress and anger management as well as nutrition. As previously mentioned, program participants can expect to regularly attend AA/NA meetings.
Continuum Recovery employs a diverse team of experts including an addictionologist, case managers, therapists, an interventionist, psychiatric nurses and physicians. Medication management and medical services are available.
Continuum prepares clients for success. They work with a case manager to design a customized aftercare plan that helps to make sense of the transition back to regular life. This plan includes employment assistance, a supportive network, medication and ongoing therapy.
The facility offers an array of holistic methods such as yoga, mindfulness meditation, Tai chi, art and music therapy. IV therapy and dietary supplements are also available.
Because family plays a tremendous role in a sustainable recovery, the facility provides a comprehensive program that includes education and therapy sessions to help families better support and nurture their loved one.
Continuum Recovery of Colorado in Denver offers individualized treatment curriculums designed to heal both the causes of conditions as well as the symptoms. This “whole client” model of care integrates a range of therapeutic and medical methods in order to provide individuals with the best possible recovery. For anyone seeking an excellent team, a supportive environment and a transformative therapeutic experience, Continuum Recovery of Colorado is an excellent option.
