Mental health care is also available to clients of all ages, though substance abuse support is only offered to adults 21 and older. Treatment and Staff
Treatment for alcohol and other drugs at CCS begins with an initial evaluation to determine each client’s needs. After the assessment, each client gets assigned a therapist who helps them develop an individualized treatment plan. All participants must agree to random alcohol and drug testings during their time at CCS as well.
Length of treatment and frequency of individual therapy sessions varies on a case-by-case basis, though standard schedules include one individual therapy session a week for 50 minutes at a time. Schedules can also meet less frequently when deemed appropriate, though clients rarely attend more than one session a week. Along with individual therapy, clients can also request a group therapy session once a week for an hour and a half. These sessions are offered exclusively to those receiving individual therapy, and are only held if enough clients are interested in attending. Group therapy sessions typically discuss topics such as relapse prevention, coping skills and substance abuse related health issues.
Participation in a 12-step program is not mandatory though it is encouraged. There are no meetings held on-site but staff members can refer clients to local community meetings upon request. Therapists at CCS consist of LPCs and LCSWs who apply evidence-based modalities like CBT and DBT throughout treatment.

Psychiatric medication management is available to adolescents and children receiving mental health treatment at CCS as well. To that end, the facility boasts a full service pharmacy located on-site.
For 18 to 25-year-olds who have been hospitalized due to severe mental disabilities, CCS also offers the Spot Program. This is a short-term intensive outpatient program that provides medication, vocational assistance and individual therapy to help prevent clients stabilize and avoid being re-admitted into a psychiatric hospital.
Prevention youth services are provided by CCS clinicians through the Teen At School Assistance Program. Clinicians meet with teens on an individual basis to address issues such as anxiety, eating disorders, bullying, depression, family issues, self-harm and failing grades.
Senior citizens can also get help at CCS through trained consultants who provide support in a private setting. All consultants are 60 and older and can help relate to clients about issues of aging and other topics. The goal for treatment is to reduce loneliness and isolation. CCS also partners with the Community Housing Network to help those struggling with homelessness, addiction or mental health issues to find supportive housing. Finally, the facility also operates a suicide prevention hotline for those in need of emergency support.
