Coastal Detox Review
Coastal Detox is a detox and inpatient alcohol and drug treatment program for adults on Florida’s beautiful Treasure Coast. Located in the town of Stuart, Florida, Coastal Detox is about 40 miles north of Palm Beach. It treats those struggling with drug addiction, alcoholism and co-occurring disorders. The facility offers medical treatment combined with holistic care and clinical therapy to provide a comprehensive detox experience.
Accommodations and Food
Coastal Detox is a newly constructed 15,000 square foot medical building. In spite of the clinical functionality, clients can expect luxury and comfort as they detox from drugs and alcohol in semi-private gender-specific rooms. Queen beds have pillow top mattresses and each room has a private bathroom and personal flat screen TV. The facility also has an on-site pharmacy, relaxing common areas, an outdoor smoking area and a tranquil outdoor zen garden.
A private chef plans and prepares meals and healthy snacks which are served family-style. The chef can accommodate clients’ dietary needs and a housekeeper is available for cleaning and laundry services.
Treatment and Staff
The seven-day long detox program offers Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for clients experiencing physical withdrawal symptoms from opiates or alcohol. The residential program is 30 days. Both programs include daily group therapy and at least one individual session a week. Therapy uses evidence-based practices, such as CBT and DBT. Dual diagnosis support in the form of psychiatric care and medication management is offered to clients with co-occurring disorders.
Coastal Detox has a team that includes a physician, nurses, a psychologist, CADCs, MFTs, case managers, a chef, housekeepers and support staff. Staff is available 24 hours a day in both the detox and residential programs.
Extras
Twelve-step meetings are not included as part of the program, but Coastal Detox does support AA/NA meetings attendance outside of treatment. For aftercare, clients are referred to local outpatient programs.
