Clear Recovery Review
Clear Recovery is an outpatient treatment facility located in Southern California’s Redondo Beach. It offers evidence-based, step-down Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) to both adolescents and adults who are struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. Treatment includes individual and group therapy, psychoeducation and aftercare planning in a structured setting.
Treatment and Staff
In order to begin treatment at Clear Recovery, clients have an intake assessment wherein the therapist designs an individualized program plan. Clear Recovery starts everyone on an intensive schedule in the IOP that eventually steps down to less time in the program. Programs are typically a year, with the first 90 days requiring three days a week in group and individual therapy, four to five hours daily from 10 am to 3 pm. Following that initial stage, the program lessens to three hours a day three times a week and the last stage is one day a week for three hours, which is considered a standard outpatient track.
Treatment is comprised of evidence-based modalities in conjunction with holistic approaches and nutritional coaching. While the main component of treatment is individual counseling combined with group therapy, there are yoga classes once weekly along with health and nutrition classes one time a week.
Elements of the 12 steps are integrated into programming and clients are connected to AA/NA meetings in their communities. Therapeutic approaches include CBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Gestalt Therapy and Psychodynamic Processing. Groups focus on relapse prevention, codependency, anger management, coping and life skills and goal setting. During their time in treatment, clients work with their counselors on personal achievements outside of treatment, which can be going back to school or finding a better job. There are also medication management services provided for adults or adolescents with a dual diagnosis.
The staff of Clear Recovery is a multidisciplinary team of clinicians who specialize in addiction recovery. Accreditations include Master’s-level LMFT and LCSW, and psychiatrists and peer counselors, all of whom have gone through a treatment program themselves and are able to offer guidance and additional support.
Extras
There is a family program that consists of counseling and education on an individualized basis. For the parents of adolescents in treatment, there are weekly meetings with the client’s therapists to discuss progress.
