Clear Paths, Inc. is an outpatient alcohol and drug abuse treatment facility located in Oregon’s Mid-Willamette Valley. Clear Paths was founded in 2000 by Tomoko Gersch PhD in Keizer, a city within the Salem metropolitan area. Treatment modalities include the 12-step approach as well as evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, family therapy and more.
Treatment and Staff
Treatment at Clear Paths begins with an assessment to determine the necessary level of care and to develop an individualized treatment plan. Clients requiring a low-intensity level of treatment enroll in level-one outpatient treatment requiring clients to attend treatment once a week for 12 weeks with an hour of individual therapy every other week. The level-two Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) requires attendance two days a week with clients having an individual session every week, for a minimum of 12 weeks. Group therapy is scheduled Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 5:30 and 7:00 pm and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 to 11:30 am. An IOP-specific group meets on Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.
Both outpatient programs offer adult and adolescent treatment groups, family and couples therapy, medication management, AA/NA meetings and may begin with a one- to five-day detox. Individual family sessions may be scheduled with assigned counselors and educative films and lectures on substance abuse are also made available to clients and their families.
Clear Paths staff is made up of two licensed counselors who run group sessions as well as licensed clinicians. A licensed therapist conducts all one-on-one sessions with clients.
