CleanSlate Arizona Overview
CleanSlate Centers strictly offers outpatient treatment. It’s open to men and women struggling with alcohol and opioid use disorders. Founded in 2009, there are multiple locations across the country, including four facilities in the Phoenix metropolitan area. CleanSlate believes that addiction is a chronic disease best treated through an individualized, integrative approach. While CleanSlate primarily offers Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), it also incorporates evidence-based therapy, psychoeducation and case management. The 12-step recovery model is not a component in the programming.
Treatment and Staff
CleanSlate specializes in administering MAT for clients struggling with alcohol and opioids such as heroin and prescription drugs. Before beginning treatment, individuals undergo an extensive evaluation to help determine the most effective personalized treatment strategy. CleanSlate prescribes Suboxone to curb intense and painful withdrawal effects from opiates, and Vivitrol as a monthly injection for both alcohol and opioids. The team utilizes Vivitrol primarily after the client has completed the detox program. The medication helps to prevent relapse by blocking opioids from attaching to receptors, mitigating their effects.
While Suboxone and Vivitrol serve as the cornerstone of programming, CleanSlate also integrates the mental health component of therapeutic care. Clients engage in individual and group therapy rooted in evidence-based methods like CBT and DBT. In addition, clients must pass a urine test during each visit. CleanSlate also carefully monitors their medication regimen.
CleanSlate employs a team of medical professionals including physicians, medical assistants and nurses.
Extras
CleanSlate offers a full spectrum of services. This includes assistance with translation, transportation, insurance and housing (when necessary).
The Arizona locations also have specialized programs for pregnant mothers and the LGBTQ community.
