Clean Investments Inc Review
Since 1997, Clean Investments Inc has provided outpatient substance abuse care to those living in Austin, Texas. Its treatment options include Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for adolescents and adults along with culturally-sensitive services for Spanish speakers. CII programs combine the use of 12-step principles with evidence-based modalities during group and individual therapy sessions.
Treatment and Staff
Those interested in treatment at Clean Investments Inc must first complete an assessment, after which they are placed in one of the three IOPs. Each program includes 60 hours of group and three hours of individual therapy. Those in need of more intensive care such as inpatient treatment or detox can be provided referrals to outside resources. Medication management services are not available on-site.
The IOP for English speakers meets for group therapy on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 5:30 to 8:30 pm while the Spanish-speaking group meets on Wednesday and Thursday at the same time and on Friday from 4 to 6 pm. During group sessions, a licensed counselor discusses topics such as relapse prevention, communication, relationships, HIV/AIDS and how addiction affects the family. These sessions rely primarily on CBT and DBT as treatment methods.
There’s also a week dedicated to introducing participants to a 12-step program. While clients are not required to attend off-site AA/NA meetings, they are still encouraged to do so. Staff members can provide meeting directories upon request. Adolescent groups follow a similar curriculum while also addressing issues like anger management, recognizing the negative effects of substance abuse, driving under the influence and school-related stress. Groups take place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Family-based therapy is also implemented into each adolescent’s treatment plan. This is aimed at reducing family risk factors, poor family communication and problem solving. Staff members at CII include LCDCs and interns trained in evidence-based modalities.
Extras
Aftercare groups are available to all clients that complete treatment at Clean Investments Inc. Generally, alumni can attend one group therapy session a week for up to three months. Each session meets for an hour at a time. Court-ordered clients dealing with drug and alcohol related charges are provided a Traffic Collision (TC) group that meets on Monday from 6 to 8 pm.
