CLARE | MATRIX is a non-profit treatment facility that offers residential care as well as a comprehensive Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for clients struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. CLARE | MATRIX is the result of a recent merger between two acclaimed non-profit organizations, CLARE Foundation and The Matrix Institute. Treatment and Staff
CLARE | MATRIX’s PHP and IOP are ideal for individuals either transitioning out of the residential program, or for clients that require consistent therapy but cannot make the time commitment to inpatient care. The PHP is six hours a day five days a week. Upon completion, many clients transition into IOP, which offers flexible morning and evening scheduling options that allow clients to participate in regular therapy without having to take time away from work, school or home obligations. Clients participate in therapy three hours a day several days a week.
Before beginning treatment at Clare Matrix, individuals undergo a comprehensive assessment that includes physical and psychological components as well as an overview of substance use and family health history. Based off the results, the team determines the most effective individualized care plan tailored to meet the needs and goals of the person. It’s worth mentioning, unlike the residential program, PHP and IOP do not have a cap on treatment length. Clients can participate for as long as necessary to meet their needs.
CLARE | MATRIX fosters a client-centered model of care that integrates a number of therapeutic methods. Clients engage in one or two individual therapy sessions a week as well as daily group therapy sessions rooted in evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
The facility places a premium on 12-step programming as a vital component to the success of a long-term recovery. As a result, individuals participate in regular AA/NA meetings both at the facility and in the local network. CLARE | MATRIX also offers psychoeducation classes that cover topics like addiction, wellness, stress and anger management, as well as relapse prevention techniques.
The CLARE | MATRIX team is comprised of mental health counselors, therapists, physicians, consulting psychiatrist and a nursing team. Medication management, psychiatric assessments and medical services are available for individuals in need of dual diagnosis support.
