Hebron House is a 12-step based, women’s only residential treatment facility that’s part of Hebron Trust, which is associated with the Choices Rehab Centers network of care facilities throughout the UK. Treatment includes a personalized plan and integrated health care that utilizes highly structured and self supported treatment methods. Above all, Hebron House offers comprehensive programming that caters to the specific needs of women who struggle with addiction and co-occurring disorders.
Accommodations and Food
The 10 bed facility is located in the charming village of Norwich in Norfolk. The beautiful, brick Victorian home sits in a quiet neighborhood and offers easy access to public transportation. The home is no more than a 20 minute drive to the sea, and about two hours to central London.
The interior of the home includes comfortable furnishing and large rooms. Clients share bedrooms and bathrooms, and have access to the lounge with TV, dining room and kitchen. The campus has a quiet, secluded garden.
Every day at 1 pm all residents sit down to enjoy a lunch that they have prepared for the house. They eat breakfast and dinner are together as well, but those meals are usually made by staff members. Hebron provides all the ingredients for meals, and all clients pitch in with the clean up efforts as well.
Treatment and Staff
The treatment program at Hebron House is broken down into two major stages. The stages are 12 weeks each, with the first phase being a bit restricted. This is to allow clients to get used to the program and the day to day in treatment. The next three month step focuses on returning back to their communities, or transfer to a transitional housing facility.
Clients to go at least two individual therapy sessions per week. There are also several daily group therapy sessions that cover the first three steps. By the second stage of treatment they begin to work on steps four and five.
While in the first phase of treatment the women have an assigned therapist who offers guidance at any time. They also have written assignments, life skills classes and workshops to attend.
One of the unique aspects of Hebron House is that they have 33 therapeutic activities that are individualized for each client. These activities address the specific needs of the women, and include topics like setting boundaries, having a healthy relationship, trust and safety and respect.
Along with substance abuse and addiction, this facility also caters to those who suffer from eating disorders or have experienced a trauma in their past. There is a relationship course in the second half of treatment, and they work with a certified life coach on being assertive and building confidence.
The treatment team at Hebron House are well trained and have extensive experience working with women with addiction issues and a history of trauma. Additionally, some of the staff are former clients of the Hebron House program, and all are sober.
Extras
There is a 12-week aftercare package that offer group therapy, individual counseling, life skills, health care, 24 hour support, relapse prevention and more. This aftercare program is essentially a structured day program, though it is a bit more flexible.
During treatment clients exercise frequently and have social outings. These things include beach days, shopping, sailing, hiking and more.

This is a program that truly knows the needs of women who have had a difficult experience, and are able to provide a safe environment.
