Choice and Change Review
Based out of Van Nuys in Los Angeles, California, Choice and Change is an outpatient-based behavioral health facility providing a range of basic counseling services for clients struggling with addiction and mental health issues. The services offered are community-oriented and all programs are individualized.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning a program, all clients go through an initial intake and assessment process to help the staff develop their care plans. While detox services are not offered on-site, those in need can get referrals to nearby programs. Though program schedules may vary, both standard outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) intensities are available.

The staff at Choice and Change consists of MFTs, LMHCs, nurses, case managers, LCSWs and additional Master’s-level clinicians.

The programs at Choice and Change are flexible and individualized. Treatment tracks are available to adults, adolescents, children and families alike. Court-ordered and self-referred clients can both attend as well. Some specialized program options also include specific programs for postpartum women and support groups for clients with HIV/AIDS. The organization also offers special support for local LGBTQ populations as well.
For those who complete a primary care regimen, staff members can help them develop stepped down aftercare plans or offer referrals to other facilities and sober livings.
