CMC Berkshires Cost
Located in the Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts, CMC: Berkshires is the residential branch of the NYC Center for Motivation and Change. CMC provides treatment to adults struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. The facility offers a variety of options for care, including residential treatment for those seeking a high level of care, as well as a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). CMC: Berkshires is a beautiful remote location, about two and a half hours from both Boston and New York City.
Accommodations and Food
The CMC Berkshires facility is a historic 100 year-old mansion set on 200 acres. There are a total of 13 beds in comfortable private rooms. The private bedrooms have queen-sized beds, dressers, closet space and en suite bathrooms. There are maid and laundry services provided. The facility also boasts lovely shared living areas and an on-site gym.
Throughout their stay, all residents are served three locally grown organic meals a day prepared by Berkshires catering superstar Megan Moore. Residents eat family-style and most dietary restrictions and preferences can be accommodated. Megan also works closely with a nutritionist to make sure that all meals are well-balanced and fit with nutritional guidelines.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning treatment, residents must go through an assessment process to help staff members develop their individualized treatment plans. CMC: Berkshires does not offer detox but those in need can receive referrals to outside facilities. Upon their return, they can join the residential treatment program.
Though the specifics of treatment may vary, most clients stay 28 days. They attend a rigorous schedule of three individual sessions per week and three groups per day, Mondays through Fridays. Therapy uses evidence-based practices, such as CBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). The curriculum also stresses 12-step participation and includes dual diagnosis support with medication management, as necessary.
The staff at CMC Berkshires consists of CADCs, case managers, physicians and additional Master’s-level clinicians.
Extras
Holistic treatment options include art and music therapy. Clients also have access to yoga, mindfulness training, and fitness training, to name a few. In lieu of aftercare the facility provides outpatient care and sober living referrals for those who wish to continue their recovery in Long Island or Manhattan.
