Casa Bella Outpatient Review
Located in the Venice Beach area of Los Angeles, California, Casa Bella offers behavioral health services to women struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. Treatment plans are flexible, individualized and open to women ages 18 and up. Though its flagship programs are its sober living and residential options, the organization also provides outpatient care.
Treatment and Staff
Before treatment begins, all clients go through an initial intake and assessment to help staff members develop their care plans. Although on-site detox services are not available, those in need of these services can be referred to programs in the area. While outpatient plans are more often used as a step-down option for those who have completed a primary care program, clients may also utilize it as a less intensive primary care option as well.
While the specifics of each plan vary, clients attend both individual and group therapy with evidence-based treatment practices including CBT, DBT and Motivational Interviewing (MI), though these may change by practitioner and program. Support for co-occurring disorders is available along with medication management whenever necessary. Groups cover many topics including life skills, nutritional counseling, trauma-informed care, experiential therapy, trigger identification and relapse prevention.
The staff at Casa Bella consists of psychiatrists, psychologists, CADCs, LMFTs, case managers and additional Master’s-level counselors.

In addition to the clinical approaches, the organization also uses holistic therapies such as yoga, mindfulness training and meditation to help clients as well. The program also uses regular urinalysis testing as well. As mentioned, more intensive services including residential treatment and sober living are available as well, along with recovery apartments which are essentially 3/4 homes. Those who finish a primary care option can work with staff to develop aftercare plans as well.

Overall, Casa Bella is a well-rounded organization that facilitates comprehensive, evidence-based treatment to women in early recovery. Treatment includes 12-step participation, dual diagnosis support and holistic supports to make sure participants are treated in every aspect.
