The Basics
For more than 20 years, We Care Arundel Health Service, Inc. has provided the community of Glen Burnie, Maryland with non 12-step based outpatient substance abuse treatment. Clients are provided drug and alcohol assessments, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) with methadone, drug counseling and individualized treatment planning. We Care Arundel Health Service, Inc. specializes in treating clients who have dealt with opioid abuse.
We Care’s approach to recovery supports clients in finding balance in their health and well-being, helping them to enhance quality of life, reduce substance abuse symptoms and build confidence and a sense of resilience as well as restore or improve functioning in daily life so as to give the chance to reintegrate into society.
Treatment and Staff
Potential clients of We Care’s treatment program must come to the facility daily for their dosage as well as take part in counseling services. Treatment typically lasts for three months with no specified minimum participation—clients may stay on for as long as they need, with a staff counselor’s approval.
After a period of successful and punctual participation in the program, clients may be given take-home medication instead of coming to the facility for their dosage. Upon admittance, clients must take part in a minimum of two individual sessions per month, then one per month after a period of abstinence. Additionally, group therapy is also offered, and attendance is dependent on the number of clients enrolled in the program at any given time.
Staff consists of Licensed Substance Abuse Counselors (LSACs), a registered nurse and a medical director.
