C.A.R.E. Addiction Recovery Outpatient Review
Located in the seaside village of North Palm Beach, Florida, C.A.R.E. Addiction Recovery is a holistic treatment program that caters to individuals suffering from alcohol, substance, prescription, eating and process addictions. The facility has residential services, a standard outpatient program and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for adults and young adults.
Treatment and Staff
Clients have an individualized treatment plan that they create with their counselor that helps them address specific needs and create tangible goals before graduation. As graduation nears, clients with work with their counselors to create a continuing treatment plan. C.A.R.E. does not provide detox but it does offer dual diagnosis support.
C.A.R.E provides individual, group, family and marital counseling. Also, it incorporates a modified 12-step plan, psychiatric evaluations, cognitive counseling, behavior therapy, nutritional counseling, anger management, spiritual counseling and physical education. Other therapeutic modalities include EMDR and REBT. Clients see a psychiatrist on a weekly basis and receive three to five individual sessions with other specialists as well. The IOP facilitates a minimum of nine hours of group and individual counseling ranging from four evenings to six full days a week. Length and intensity of standard outpatient treatment is tailored to the client.
C.A.R.E. boasts a comprehensive array of well-qualified addiction and mental health specialists. The MD on staff serves as the director of psychiatric services. Other staff members include MSW/LCSWs, LMHCs, CADCs, MFTs, an acupuncture physician, a registered dietitian, a spiritual counselor and ordained minister, a massage therapist, yoga instructors, personal trainers, an administrative staff and the canine greeting specialists—Rex and Gus.
Extras
C.A.R.E. offers four group acupuncture sessions to help clients dealing with withdrawal, anxiety, depression and insomnia.
The program also offers extended care and relapse prevention services; which include supervised housing, support group meetings, individual and group counseling, alumni activities and tele-therapy. In addition, there are also family days, which is a weekend family program that takes place once a month and is designed for those with family members who have had or who are presently in treatment. Intervention services can also be provided.
The alumni program is for graduates of C.A.R.E. and includes an honorary luncheon, certificates of recognition and an opportunity to serve as a role model to others.
