The Basics
Located in the Bronx neighborhood in New York City, Bronx-Lebanon Hospital‘s Life Recovery Center offers treatment for chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders. Aside from its inpatient options, Life Recovery Center provides flexible outpatient care to adults and adolescents.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning treatment, clients go through a full bio-psycho-social screening and an intake assessment to help staff members develop their individualized treatment plans. Those in need of detox can do so on-site before continuing on to treatment. While the specifics of each plan may vary, clients follow standard or Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) tracks, the latter of which meets for a minimum of three times a week for three hours per session. Both plans include individual and group therapy rooted in evidence-based practices like CBT and DBT. Extensive psychiatric support for clients with a dual diagnosis is also provided.
While 12-step participation is not strictly required, those interested can get referrals to off-site meetings.
The staff at Bronx-Lebanon Life Recovery Center consists of MDs, RNs, psychiatrists, psychologists, CADCs, LPCs, LCSWs and additional Master’s and PhD-level clinicians.
Extras
In addition to the above, clients with additional health problems can receive primary medical care services through one of Bronx-Lebanon Hospital’s other departments. Standalone assessments are available as are flexible aftercare planning services. As mentioned, the organization also offers a residential treatment program for those in need of more extensive treatment.
