Broadway Treatment Center

Anaheim CaliforniaBroadway Treatment Center Review

In 2009, a group of substance abuse treatment professionals came together and formed the Broadway Treatment Center (BTC). From its facilities in Orange County, California, BTC offers a combination of 12-step, CBT, holistic and alternative modalities. Services offered include detox, residential treatment, an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), basic outpatient treatment, sober living, recovery coaching and intervention. Life skills classes and aftercare are also provided.

Accommodations and Food

BTC offers one inpatient house for each gender and one sober living house for each gender in Anaheim. The homes are all beautiful, upscale and located in quiet residential neighborhoods. BTC stands out for being pet friendly and clients are welcome to bring their smaller pets. Each house is an eight-bedroom home which accommodates up to 15 at a time. Clients share a room with one or two other people including animal companions. All meals are prepared by BTC staff and included in cost of stay.

Treatment and Staff

Detox at BTC takes place on-site at one of the residential homes and may last seven to ten days. Clients are supervised by a registered nurse, visited by a physician and medication-assisted treatment is offered. Clients may even opt for a Naltrexone implant or Nexalin, a device designed to regulate brain chemistry. After detox, clients enter the residential phase of treatment, which lasts 30 days. Treatment includes a daily combination of group and individual therapy, family therapy and anger management following the Matrix model. Dual diagnosis support is also provided on-site.

BTC’s IOP may last a few weeks to several months, depending on the individual. It is comprised of sessions three to five days a week, including both group and individual therapy. Basic outpatient treatment provides one session a week and there are day and evening sessions. This track also has no set duration. Both IOP and outpatient services clients must be enrolled in BTC sober living.

Sober living typically lasts an additional 30 to 60 days after residential treatment, but may be extended up to 12 months. It offers a basic 12-step approach with the option for either a Christian track and a jail diversion track. During sober living, clients live in one of the sober living houses and attend IOP groups in the BTC offices Mondays through Thursdays. They may also go to outside AA/NA meetings, to which they are transported and accompanied by staff. Cell phones are allowed at BTC but not during group or meetings. Clients may get outside passes after the first month of stay. Sunday is family day, during which relatives may pick clients up and take them out for the day or a few hours.

Many of the BTC employees are in recovery, while others have only been on the treatment side of addiction. Staff includes medical staff for detox, Phd level therapists, CADCs and CSWs. Groups are run by licensed therapists while a female clinical director and a male therapist conduct the individual sessions based on the client’s preference.

PTSD therapy is available along with alternative methods which include music and art therapy, sand tray therapy and IV vitamin therapy.

Aftercare at BTC is also known as an alumni program. Upon completion of the residential treatment program, clients may continue to participate in the BTC sober environment as long as they have regular 12-step attendance and are working with a sponsor.

Former and current clients are welcome to go on weekly field trips, surfing, fishing, boating, swimming, dancing, and even do yoga, weight lifting and have family barbecues with BTC acquired clean and sober friends.

In Summary

The Broadway Treatment Center offers a broad assortment of treatment options in a comfortable, upscale residential environment. The economical cost is also refreshing in the luxury treatment landscape of Orange County. The sheer variety of programs and services are enough to entice someone seeking substance abuse treatment in the Anaheim area to check out BTC.

  1. When I first got to Broadway Treatment Center I did not want to be here. I was so done with life I didn’t care anymore where my life was going. This had been my second rehab I have been to and I was just over it, and one day my whole view on life changed. That never would have happened if it wasn’t for all the love and support from ALL of the staff here at Broadway. This place has changed my life so much for the better! Ever since I got here I never felt uncomfortable once. They definitely take the time and understand where you are coming from. I definitely recommend Broadway if you want to change your life. In just 90 days I see a complete change in myself, and I’ve learned so much here. I am extremely grateful for this place and all of the amazing people I have met here, and I wouldn’t change a thing.

Broadway Treatment Center is hands down the best treatment center my girlfriend and I have attended. The perk of coming here was that they accept couples. We were skeptical at first about being in treatment with our significant other and how their program would accommodate us. But Broadway has setup an amazing program in which individualize’s each clients 12 step program, while incorporating couples groups and therapies. The staff is some of the best we have seen thus far in the industry. They go above and beyond their job specifications and show the clients love and compassion while always doing their absolute best to accommodate each clients needs. Staff brings clients to a 12 step meeting everyday, as well as encourage everyone to get a sponsor and work the steps. They do so with gracefulness and understanding which separates them from most, realizing that each client is at a different place in life whether is be in mind, body or spirit. Meeting each client where they are at, allowing them to diagnose and create a treatment plan which accommodates and is specific to each individual. My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience here and we feel that Broadway has prepared us and have created a secure foundation of recovery. We came into treatment broken individuals, we had lost almost everything and most crucial we lost sight of ourselves. Today we feel secure enough to get back out into the real world, back to work, school and other responsibilities. Knowing that we have a solid network of people we can lean on if were feeling down and/or if something were to happen instead of resorting to using. We both agreed that our comfort-ability level has never been so high leaving a treatment facility before, and we are excited to move onto the next chapter of our lives while continuing to utilize the practices, methods and concepts taught to us through Broadway, and hopefully lead an amazing life in recovery. Me and my girlfriend thank you from the bottom of our hearts, to all the staff and to everyone who helped us and made it possible at Broadway. You changed our lives and we are VERY grateful.

I have been to many drug treatment centers through out my use. I have not been able to stay clean and sober even when I truly wanted to. My family was broken and lived in constant fear that I was going to die. the thing that is different about this place is the staff’s passion to help addicts fight for their life. When I found BTC I had been living in a car with my boyfriend for weeks and we were miserable. Broken and defeated is how I walked in with no hope. I was welcomed with open arms and immediately felt important and safe. This place catered to our personal needs as individuals. BTC helped me find value in my life and walked through my recovery with me with every step I took. Today I stand a stronger woman with an inspired outlook on my future. My family no longer lives in fear and most importantly I have been freed from the bondage of drugs. I can look at my self in the mirror and like the person I see. Thank you Broadway for showing me how to fight for my life!

  4. Before coming into Broadway Treatment Center and it being my first go-around, I didn’t know what to expect or how to feel. I was so nervous, scared, anxious, and even having second thoughts. From the moment I walked through the door, every single person here including staff and fellow peers, were so welcoming and helpful. I cannot say enough good things about BTC and more importantly, the lengths and measures they take to ensure their client’s are comfortable and getting the most they can out of this program. I completed a 90 day program, and I’m so beyond grateful for having this amazing opportunity to work closely with the facilitators and also meeting with my case manager individually once a week. My case manager was amazing to say the least, and made sure that I was getting the right tools and skills needed to succeed and grow in my recovery upon discharge. Broadway has completely changed my life and can honestly say that I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.

We have tons of fun going on different outings every weekend, also attending IOP and going to meetings daily. The structure of this program is amazing and if you are honest, serious about your recovery, willing to put in your best effort and truly want to change in your life, this is the place to be. You will get out as much as you put in, so do it right! 🙂

  5. I came to this place suicidal, lost, broken, terrified, hopeless, morally and spiritually bankrupt. I left as a person that I thought didn’t exist. I discovered a new meaning to the mysteries of life through spiritual growth and self-love. For this I give credit to Broadway. They didn’t have to take me, my insurance didn’t cover. They took thousands of dollars out of their own pocket and invested in hope. Hope that they could save a life, make a difference in the world. These people are far from ordinary. They share the same love and compassion for their fellow man as I do. Broadway to me is a revolution in the world of recovery, there leaders pioneers and there staff descendants. Broadway will forever own a sacred place in my heart. I will pay forward there legacy by sharing the experience, strength, and, hope they have shown me and maybe just maybe that selfless revolution will become a reality. -cody powell

  6. This company has saved my life!!suffering from the disease of addiction for over 8 years and now having over 31/2 years clean and sober would not have been possible if I did not make it to broadway. The staff and the structure of this program gave me coping skills, life skills and provided a safe environment for me to build my foundation.the individualized care I was given addressed my health, mental, and addiction issues so I could overcome the powerful grasp that my addiction had over my life. Broadway is where I learned to give up, own up, make up, and grow up. I have a debt to this program I will never be able to repay.

I personally like to Thank Broadway Treatment Center for allowing me to be a part of this team. I have never worked for a place that cares so much about clients and their staff. The team at Broadway has compassion and understanding of addiction. I would definitely recommend Broadway for anybody that’s looking for treatment.

  8. I came into btc completely lost and nowhere to go, my boyfriend and i were both accepted and were greatful enough to get clean and stay clean together. It’s not easy but the staff are very genuine about where you stand and will help guide you through your times in need. Thanks you guys!

  9. My husband and I were looking for a place where both we and our dog could go. We were able to receive treatment without stressing over the welfare of our animal during treatment. We are so grateful for all of the staff and the outlined program. They really do care about the well being of their clients and provided knowledge and a practical program that we are able to maintain.
