Since 1993, Broadway Counseling Services, Inc. has offered professional outpatient counseling services in the Denver metro area. With a network of three facilities in Denver, Englewood and Northglenn, Colorado, BCS’ treatment options include standard outpatient programs with individualized treatment plans consisting of group and individual therapy along with educational groups. Treatment is available for both self-referred and court-ordered clients. While treatment is evidence based, there is no 12-step participation or medication management available at BCS.
Treatment and Staff
Upon beginning treatment at BCS individuals undergo an initial assessment working with a therapist to create an individualized treatment plan. Though court-ordered clients typically follow court regulations, they must still go through intake in order to identify their individual needs. Medication management is not available on-site but referrals to outside facilities are available upon request. There are also drug and alcohol tests offered weekly for an extra fee.
The basic outpatient program is flexible with a full range of day and evening services available. Both Level I and Level II DUI/DWAI education classes and group therapy sessions are available. While the programs are catered to suit the courts and the Colorado DMV regulations, self-referred clients benefit form this structure for substance abuse treatment as well. Groups are two to four hours in length and address topics like alcohol and drug education, the negative affects of substance abuse, driving with care, relapse prevention and coping skills.
The Denver location offers groups Monday through Sunday both in the mornings and evenings. The Englewood and Northglenn offices hold groups every day except Sunday. Individual sessions are scheduled as needed. Staff members include LADCs who use CBT as a primary modality during therapy.

Treatment is available for both court-ordered and self-referred clients in need of substance abuse services that use traditional therapeutic, evidence-based methods. While those in need of more acute care may be better served by a facility with an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), BCS is an affordable choice for those seeking basic treatment.
